How to Use This Umbrella

For every rib within this first umbrella, you have a simple Angel prayer for connection and support, setting the intention for the day ahead and some exercises to help you integrate new perspectives and healthier habits into your work or home life. How to do these things will be clearly explained. The spiritual goals behind everything you have been asked to do are set aside for you to read at the end of your day as you wind down.

Why Is the layout of acceptance this way? Firstly, for those new to the spiritual path, and self-help books, I have broken down the content of this course of healing into manageable chunks of information. Secondly, two of the biggest fears for anyone with anxiety and low self-confidence are the fear of the unknown and failure. Everyone’s interpretation and feelings towards the exercises and the course as a whole will vary from person to person, If I told you what the desired outcomes were for each exercise before you did them, it would place an expectation to achieve a specific goal before you had even started. This would prevent the experience from organically growing as you do. Following through with something to the end without knowing the result, builds trust in the process, intuition, inner questioning and a more relaxed approach to outcomes.

Before you settle down for the night, replace screen time with some positive thoughts before sleeping and read the ‘end of your day’ section of the rib and follow the exercises. I will ask you to think about how you felt about your day and then explain the focus within the learning goals of Acceptance. How you absorb the lessons in this book is ultimately up to you. You have the choice to read any of the chapters as a whole or break it down and follow the sections on the days that you need to. Let’s begin!
